Overview
I will write a verse for you as a means to inspire the gesture of opening to greater connectivity with yourself and others.
Meet with me and receive:
A personal verse;
The strengthening of self discovery via poetry;
A new way to be inspired by the things that limit and free you;
The invitation to explore a gentle path to felt sensation and creativity.
Here is what to expect...
Come prepared with an aspect of your life you would like to explore, through words and/or movement.
We will begin with a poem, then spend some time in conversation with whatever arises for you.
At the end of the session we will close with a poem, and I will write a personal verse for you, scroll it up and place it in an origami box as an offering for you.
The poem I will write for you is in the style of Haiku. Haiku translates to “playful verse” and it is within this spirit and Haiku’s simple structure that I offer a seed of reflection and inspiration for you.
This poem will be yours to open (or not open) at the timing of your choosing. No response is required, and you may do what you wish with the box and the poem.
The Box Itself
you reveal your form
so the mysteries inside
can praise others’ souls
Lokta is a type of paper handmade in Nepal. I’ve discovered it in my travels there. For now, this is what I’m using. “It’s made from two species of evergreen shrubs called Daphne bholua and Daphne papyracea both of which are more commonly known as Lokta bushes. These bushes only grow at 1,600m to 4,000m elevations (5,250 to 13,000 feet) and the paper is only produced in the Kathmandu Valley and Janakpur. In Nepal it’s used for official government records and sacred religious texts.” From origami.me
